Looking for some advice please, booking a surprise break for my husband and some mates in January or February to either Costa del Sol or Teneriffe. Not sure if they will take bikes or hire them but just wondered if anyone had any advice on the best location of the two for XC mtb'ing and bike hire at that time of year? Any route suggestions etc. Thanks very much.

Lavatrax will likely have better weather but the trails are not as varied as ciclo Montana. I'd give then both a bell and see what's availabke. Top folks in both companies (Darren and Marko).

Guided there for 6 months with 3motion... Some good trails, but you won't get to ride them unless you go it alone. Their tours are generally for those who still want to spend the afternoon on the beach.
As said, some great trails, but unless you have someone to shuttle and a local to show you which way to turn you'll be left with long slogs up hill and potentially massive rides home if you take a wrong turn.
