I fancy getting a windstopper top for conditions like they are now; dry but a bit chilly in the morning.
Do those windstopper s/s jerseys make sense when used with arm warmers? Wiggle have them as discontined but them but Evans still has some.

I have a phantom and would rather have a windstopper top and windstopper arm warmers. The reason being that the sleeves on the phatom are really fiddly to zip back on when you get cold (unless I'm missing a trick).

What about a windstopper gilet layered over a long or short sleeve jersey? I find this does me brilliantly at the moment. The mesh back on the gilet means that I rarely feel the need to take it off when the weather heats up either, just a bit of tweaking of zips up and down as needed. As a bonus they're cheap: mine was about £25 I think.
