Met Terra plus mtb batteries style helmet mount? Wife needs a new bonnet, but I've got her lights for Christmas.

Or fix the light direct to the helmet somehow (Lumen800 so it's tiny)

Anyone? It's the diagonal vents that I'm not sure about, otherwise it ticks all the boxes for her.

IMHO no - it uses no mount and just clips on over the holes so you cannot attach it but you can get a thingy that will work

I cant explain it but e-mail me and i can send you a spare I have

Will google for pics in a mo

Thanks junkyard, that's very kind of you.

My original questions was perhaps badly written - I do have a mount, the exact one in your picture, I'm just wondering if that will fit securely with the ridge and diagonal vents?

If you really don't mind then that would be great, but it's a first world problem so don't put yourself out!

The vents are no problem.
The ridge is. Have you got any Sugru or similar? You could add two fins to the base of the mount so that it sits square on either side of the ridge. Silicone might work, or glue gun, or all sorts of things really.

I also shortened my strap loads so that it just wraps through 2 vents and under - about 3.5 inches of strap. Different helmet though.

I've got an old karrimat that had bits cut off it for similar reasons, so could try that.

what he said!

The gap from the ridge is about 1/ 2 inch either side so it is pretty substantial. you will need to glue something on to the mount in order for it to work/fit/not wobble but it will need to be substantial

On the plus side I got a t-shirt for a fiver

Will upload some photos in a minute

Hope helmet mount would work with it, its got a reet thick spongy pad on the bottom that takes a bit of the ridge and stops it sliding around.

Could just add a bit of foam to the bottom of the MS mount?

Thanks very much. It clearly would need a bodge of some sort. I wonder if buying her a different helmet might make more sense.

it would be a substantial bodge IMHO and would probably need some hard foam or wood to stop wobbling. I am sure it could be done but, personally, I would also look for another helmet.
