I have a Kinesis Sync and an itch for some wide, carbon wheels. I test rode an IBIS Ripley fitted with 941s and thought the bike and the wheels were excellent.
Sadly I can't afford the bike and the 941s are a little eye watering in the price department so I was thinking about some 38mm light bicycle rims laced to dT Swiss 240s hubs. I was thinking 32 spokes but I'm not sure which to specify.
I have hope tech enduros with specialised 2.3 tyres currently. Would I have s clearance issue with the LB rims?
Also what would be a good tyre to run on them? I like something with puncture resistance, grip (obviously) but maybe something a little lighter?
Just kicking the ideas around and would welcome your thoughts.
