[#9873829]

He's a 'secret squirrel', mtber, road cyclist, a relentless safety for cyclist campaigner, excellant, commentator, journalist, promoter of all things cycling related, hardworking, and a good egg.

I think he's an OBE but imo should be Sir Chris.

Can I write to someone about putting his name forward?

Plenty people who do all that as well and they don't have a Knighthood...if he hasn't been offered it already, he'll need to up his game to be considered for it - however, many appear to be determined by how famous and/or rich you are, so he might need to work on those as well.

Perhaps he does not want one?

There's already a "Sir Chris" in cycling, isn't there?

Unfortunately for Chris his achievements were before anyone in the UK had heard of cycling.

I'd like a knighthood.  I reckon i could get one for services to procrastination. Anyone fancy nominating me?

Because he doesn’t wear a helmet. The Queen wears one, all be it with jewels on, he needs to take a leaf out of her book and I’m sure the invite will speed it’s way through the post .

Should get one for services to the cycle-to-work scheme alone, let alone for his advocacy work and previous sporting success.

Taking a look at the list for 2018:

https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/671145/New_Year_Honours_List_2018_CSV_FINAL.csv/preview

Is he:

- an MP? No

- From London? No

- A Professor? No

- A civil servant? No

- A famous musician we've all heard of and we thought it would be "cool" if he was knighted? No

- An author of annoying novels about tiresome people you wish would die in the first chapter but somehow make it all the way through to the end without anything interesting happening WHATSOEVER? No

So it would seem he is disqualified.
