Not all frames have a frame number - nothing more complicated than that really

Cos it's really special, rare, etc.. ! 😉

I've got an ex-display Litespeed mtb from back in the early 90s that has no number. Some bikes have the number on the dropouts, some have no number. Don't know if there was ever any standardisation of numbering so your 3 digits could indeed be the frame number.

It will be those three numbers. Unlikey that an individual frame builder is going to bother stamping in more numbers than needed.

My Gios has only two numbers and my Nicolai had three.

My Nicolai has one number on the front triangle and a different one on the rear bit 😆
