Finishing the boys build, took a SRAM shifter apart, Jesus H Corbet, an hour later it's still a mess of plastic and metal cogs. It was FUGly anyway.
SRAM trx in case anyone else has done this successfully.

ah the twisties - they are filled with dark magic
been there, got the badge - my XO front thumb shifter died, seemingly for no good reason. I looked up the options for repair. It soon became evident it would be like taking the back off my watch, tipping the contents out and then trying to smile whilst attempting to put it back together...
On the recommendation of a friend I bough a pair of grip shifts. Never looked back - the dark magic is just great. 🙂
