Are they monstrously wide? Using EA70s at the moment and fancy trying some wider ones.

Havocs are £50+ and Nukeproof are currently £42. No they're the Alu ones.

I've got sets on my dh bike and 4x hardtail. They are awesomely wide at 760mm, before I use to loose the front end and crash, now I just twist the bar and pick the bike back up and carry on. They are also reasonably light at 280g for such wide strong bars. Just don't ride as close to trees as you normally do!

If they are too wide just chop em down.

recently got a set myself, 760mm wide, loads of comfort and control if you have got wide shoulders. tight treelined singletrack (Delemere) presents a different challange however!

Nice shape too very similar to the EA70's I swapped mine for.

So they might be a tad problematic for Cannock and alike then.. Do they improve control for techy descents (prob a daft question but hey this is STW)?

Um, I think so. Haven't noticed them giving me any less control...they certainly give confidence/stability and control at high speed.

That's what I'd be after, more stable feeling front end at speed. Gotta be worth a punt.
