Another one here sometimes on a Fatty; although I do have a fairly conventional steel 29er for general commute duties, I fairly often ride my Fatty on its 4.8 Minions. The ride has shortened lately to only 14 miles each way and with over 50% off road and a route that includes lots of singletrack on the Sidlaw Hills, it's all good. The worst part is a homeward bound climb section of nearly a mile on tarmac, which is just a grind. However, being out on a winter's night with frozen ground, a dusting of new snow and moonlight more than makes up for it!!

I sometimes see a guy in Edinburgh wearing a suit and leather dress shoes riding a Cervelo TT bike to work

Possibly riding to the club TT after work?

A kickbike is good fun. Though I've not commuted on it for a wee while, it's not so comfy if wearing wellies, or carrying luggage.

I commute on an Orbea Rallon but take the long route home through the woods, fields and streams. It’s far more entertaining to ride through the urban jungle than my road bike, down steps off walls, jumping speed bumps.
