Looks like I will be in Glasgow for the next couple of weeks, a quick search throws up Whitelee wind farm, is it worth the drive out of the city for a couple of hours pootling after work ? would a gravel or hardtail be best suited ?
Just looking to kill a few hours after work on the bike.

Whitelee is grim place tbh, head for Cathkin instead.
You could get the train to Old Kilpatrick and hit the trails up the Old Kilpatrick Hills, or train to Milngavie (pronounced like mill-guy) for Mugdock or go along the start of the West Highland Way. There are a few routes online.
