[Closed] Whinlatter - Accommodation advice please

I have stayed with my family in the second one away and it was very nice and handy for the forest. I think it was reasonably priced too. just not too sure how we found it

It has a store room where we kept the bikes

It's unsuitable as they stipulate a minimum 7night stay and we're only staying the one night as a stop off up to Glentress.

Have a look at these people. Stayed there a few times and it was great for what it cost. Under new management now it seems...

4 of us going although we're gonna travel up to Glentress after riding now as opposed to staying over near Whinlatter.

Stayed there about 6 weeks ago (group of 5 of us)
The new owner is very friendly and helpful and has started doing a good job in renovating the place, is very clean and airy

I know you said no camping but have you considered a pod?

the wife & I stayed in one at the foot of Whinlatter. £30 & it was heated with 2 plug sockets & a light.

Sefton - the pods look brill - even better if they're heated. What do you do for bedding?

they put a thin mattress in there (then we took our own sleeping bag & pillow) - pulled the blinds and had a good sleep. the wash/shower/drying room facility's are free and very clean too. leave the key in the door and do one in the morning. they have an area to make a fire out front too

I turned the heater off as it was too warm (that was about a month back too)

its at the foot of Whinlatter too. pub tea in keswick...whats not to like???
