hi guys about to buy a workstand narrowed it down to the biketools workstand or the boss s1200 workstand same price
no need for it to be folding just cannot decide which one
anu input welcome
Recently got the Park one with quick release clamp. It's ace... And blue... Very blue.
Bit more expensive but the QR is very handy...
The bike tols won't be stable enough - gave my Minoura RS5000 away because of that and the stands is the same I think, just not the clamp.
Got a Feedback/Ultimate tripod sytle and it is brilliant - spend more and buy once...
I just took delivery of the Topeak Prepstand elite, quality bit of kit and holds the 20kg dh rig nice and stable, nice quick clamps and easy to adjust even with 20kg's hanging off it, bit more than I was willing to pay for a stand £170, but worth the extra cost!
v happy with my edinburgh bike co-op one, abot 60 - 70 quid
Looking at them the Boss s1200 (£53) looks the better stand, as suggested above, I've never found two legged stands to be the most stable. Can't see what the clamps like though.
Headfirst, the bike co-op only advertise a Park workshop stands now.
i'd say much of a muchness to be honest,
had both in the workshop and they generally fail at the clamp/bolt, ended up replacing with a quick release axle and spacers, still perfectly usable though
but that's day in day out use,
stability wise i'd say fairly even,
i'd get the bike tools one because its folding, i know you say it doesn't matter but could be handy if you need to move it/store it,
