Hi,

I'm going to get my girlfriend a mountainbike for her Christmas. Can you recommend a bike up to £450?

She is 5'7" in height and a slim build - and hot (if thats relevant)

Thanks for your help in advance

Thanks

Craig

dunno how much of an option this is for you (guess it depends on what spares you have lying about, and your willingness to 'donate' them) but i've just built a bike for my gf for £350ish

- dirty jo frame (new)
- 07 rev 426 (donated, but recently serviced)
- full deore group - (new HT2 cranks, everything else in good to v good condition (apart from rear wheel which needs a looking at))
- easton/FSA/WTB finishing kit (all new or as new, apart from handlebars which have had some use)
- schwalbe tyres (NN and smart sam, both 60-75% wear left)
- crank bros flat pedals (till she gets spds)
- weighs less than both of my mtbs 🙁

i donated the forks, which admitidely brings the cost down, but for £350 its substantially better than bikes which are currently being sold new for £500 which other friends have.

I know that this is the gent's version, but worth a demo.
