After losing yet another spoke on the Spain trip (that makes it 4 from the rear wheel now in just over a month) it seems it's aproaching the end of its usable life.
The Dream : Hope Hoops (pro2 and stans flow)
The Reality: Something for about £180
I'd like;
*strong (for pilgramages elswhere)
*light (for swinley)
*tubeless (but happy with ghetto)
The options:
Factory?
Semi-factory? (hope, supestar, nuke proof)
Rebuild on my current XC rear, bulb front combo?
Edit: I'm after a pair for that price, not just a new rear. Well unless someone can convince me it's worthwhile paying £45 for a new en321 rims and spokes and spending the change on something else.
Buy yourself a set of Pro 2's on Flow's as you want, can be had for under £250 if you shop around... Then sell on your Hope XC and BULB hubs that you've got left currently on ebay. Shouldn't leave you out of pocket from £180 once you're done!
Or just get your current hubs rebuilt into Stans Flows if they're still in OK condition...
hope hoops ?
someone must be doing a deal on em ?
