My current hubs aren't particulalry well sealed (i.e. there is none!)and cleaning them out every week is going to be a PITA if it keeps raining.

Do Shimano's roadie hubs come with the rubber seals like the MTB hubs?

Thinking open pro's on 105 hubs, DB spokes, all silver, if the sealing isn't too bad, anywhere do them sub £100?

Failing that, anyone recomend some reasnoble quality cheep cartridge bearing hubs that'd fit the bill?

+ 1 for Mavic Open Pro's

I've been running them on my Hewitt tourer, laced up to XTR hubs.

They've been completely hassle free (touch wood) 🙂

Can't comment on road hubs though.

105 and above have "proper" sealing like lx and above, Tiagra is similar to Deore and Sora to M475.

Def go for 105 IMO.

Not cheap, but I have Open Pro Ceramics running on silver Hope Hubs for my tourer. Nicest wheels I've got on any bike I reckon.

105/open pros will do the trick but you won't get them for £100

Ribble have some discount wheels. Tiagra/ma3 tiagra/cxp22 will do fine and save some cash
