Sorry, probably a question that has been asked a thousand times over but anyhow- I have £1000 on the cyclescheme and £200 of my own to buy an xc bike. My main riding is dh, I have a road bike and I have a 4x/play bike hardtail so this will be for trail centre xc'ing only. I'm not too fit, weigh in at c14 stone and am getting on a bit, so which is the better chose, a Whyte 901 from my lbs or a Cannondale rz one twenty 4 mail order?
I'm biased but the Whyte is the choice. We sold one to a guy last year who gave up riding his Specialized Enduro after buying it. He only bought it for racing but adores it. Everyone loves them, in a big way. Plus supporting your LBS is no bad thing (again, this is a thing close to my heart!) and the 5-year warranty and the fact that they actually give a damn makes a hell of a difference.
good call- thanks.
