I've been riding my '98 Kilauea on Continental Vertical 2.3 tyres but I'm needing some new tyres.
The Verts are the absolutely max size I can fit.
I don't change tyres for different conditions and just ride XC for pleasure, would anyone reccommend a different tyre or should I just get another set of Verts?
I have verts - good, honest all rounders. Like you, I don't change tyres till they are worn.
My Nobby Nics were waaaay better grip wise climbing, braking and cornering, and more supple - but wore out quickly.
My current Maxxis Ardents are ace, not tood raggy, but good alround grip, supple again and wearing well at the moment. I will put another Ardent on the back soon as it is starting to look worse for wear.
how did the nobby nics measure up size wise?
and what about the perceived drag?
