Grisedale Pike I reckon. Descend off Hobcarton End, or for a longer ride down Coledale.

wait till the evening.....same effect...no early get up.....just the the sun comes from the opposite direction.....you get some nice views from the Old Carriage Rd above St johns of an evening...same must apply to the St John's Chapel Ridge and loads of other spots round there.

I'm usualy coming back west from the Woodland/Coniston fells round dusk..... loads of wooded fell lines into the sunset....

...no point being in the boozer or watching tv or listening to the Mrs giving your ear a flea

Lattrigg. Tarmac climb 90% of the way if you want. The panarama over Keswick is often breath taking in the morning.

Another vote for Latrigg - view and speed of getting up there. There's always Cat Bells for the view from the other side - sorry missed the bike bit!

If sunnier than when I took this shot, I reckon this would be a pretty good sunrise view (DOA - top of Whinlatter Red southern loop)

Trail centre yes, but still a fast, fun ride down.
