Mine (this from e13) got a twig caught in it and snapped off. As far as I can tell a chain guide is a chain guide but is there one that’s better than the others? Or one that’s terrible and to be avoided?
I was going to default to the this from OneUp before I started overthinking it.

I’ve got a Oneup bash guide on both the fs and the hardtail. Does the job - not really thought much about them since they went on. Both bash guides have clearly had quite a lot of action saving my chain / chainring so I’m glad I went for the bash as well as the top chain guide.

I guess if I'm buying a guide anyway I may as well go for the bash guide. If If I do then it'll stay immaculate and if I don't then I'm guaranteed to smash the chainring.
