The Halfords teflon grease that i'm currently using isn't very tenacious in the face of heavy rain and i'm growing tired of monthly hub services.
Thanks.

Rock n Roll Superweb is good stuff.

Have yet to test it out - waiting for new bearings - but have just bought some Phil's (green) Grease from Tim @ Sideways.

Rock n Roll Superweb is good stuff.
+1
Used marine grease before, it's better than normal automotive grease at not dissolving away in water, but not much more tenacious at actualy sticking to things. The stern gland on a boat is a constant/total loss system so it doesn't really need to be, just resist water creeping up the other way.
Superweb on the other hand is like a low viscocity bubblegum and was designed for cup and cone bearings.
Comma motor bearing grease from Halfords.
Bacon grease, yum.
At £20 for 16oz rock n roll needs to me made from a Unicorn spun web.

May be quite pricey but it does work very well and lasts ages.
I've found marine grease more effective than RnR super web grease in BB and headset bearings
