My local trails have been somewhat decimated by the recent storms and I've decided to make more effort to get down to Glentress, at least until the weather improves.
My local trails are generally a mudbath, so I've currently have a 42a Swampthing up front and a 2.0 Mud-X out back. This combo was great in soft conditions, but I want more volume for trail centres at the rear. I'll probably switch back to my 42a High Roller on front.
Any suggestions?
42 a high roller on the front and a 2.2 Captain control at the back. Works for me at Glentress, but then I'm very very slow....:-(
Maxxis Larsen 2.35 on the rear, I use one for all but muddy winter.
Conti Baron black chilli 2.3 is a good grippy tyre, reasonably fast rolling for its tread pattern, only downside is price.
Maxxis Crossmark?
ADvantage ftw.
Conti rubber queen 2.2,black chilli compound,I love mine flat stone, wet roots, hard pack they just keep grippin.
Thanks all, I'll investigate these further, then buy whatever is cheapest ๐
