Looking for a 27.2 external dropper post with about 120mm of travel. Obviously the brand x ascend2 is an option, but it only seems to go up to 105mm.
Are there any options in that sort of price range?

Not sure on the travel aspect, but the Brand X is pretty nice. I have the 27.2 on a rigid mtb. 👍
Very few, if any, longer travel 27.2 posts.
Gravity dropper?
Thomson is nicely made and so far reliable (had it a long time but only goes on once a year for big mountains so no UK filth).
One of my kids has a Brand X which stays on the bike and has survived very well. Same for a Gravity dropper but that needs occasional (simple) servicing.
Do you really need the full drop? The first 50mm makes all the difference being able to move around the bike.
Thomson are the only 27.2 droppers with 120 mm drop.Unfortunately they are very expensive.
Ok thanks all - I think I'm going to go with the brand x one and then when I get a frame with a larger seatpost I will look at longer travel options.
