Morning All

My boss has seen fit to give me a bit of time off in the new year so I thought I'd take a tootle over to South Wales for a couple of days for a play around Cwm Carn/Afan/Brechfa.

A group of us stayed in the Bryn Bettws Guest house a few years ago which was but I wondered where else is worth a look at for maybe a little more comfort?

A group of us travelled up from Brighton and stayed at Afan Lodge this weekend and it was perfect, very MTB friendly with a huge lock-up and bike wash, bar and restaurant, friendly staff and a log fire. Its slightly more expensive than some of the other options in the area but well worth it I think.

We stayed here recently: http://www.greenlanterns.co.uk/

Can't fault it. Big rooms, good food, bar and some nice eye candy to look at 😈

Wouldn't bother with Cwmcarn unless you're DHing.

I've stayed here a few times - Bryn Teg it’s almost on the trails, bike friendly and there is a pub in walking distance.

Bryn Bettws Lodge is at the top of 'The Wall' and is right next to the skiils park and 4x track.

+1 for Brynteg. We stayed at the rearmost cottage recently which has been modernised and the bike lockup altered with better hanging-from-the-wall options, and the Hancocks + food at the pub over the road was excellent.

We did BPW and Afan in a weekend and stayed at the Travel Lodge right next to BPW. Bike friendly allow clean bikes into the rooms. Was a lot of bikers there too.
