So wanna go get rad in the white stuff. Would normally go down the FoD, but rather than snow they’re forecast sleet and hail tomorrow morning! No thanks...

Cannock is closed apparently. So is Llandegla! Most of my normal natural riding will be horrendous without a fat bike in these conditions so I’d prefer to go to a trail centre, but where’s open tomorrow within say 90mins of Worcester?

Is that 90mins in normal conditions or when the roads have come to a stand still with all the snow and ice?

Aberdeenshire has plenty of snow, and easily 90minutes... by plane. 😉
Could try Glenlivet?

Cannock-the forestry car park might be closed but the rest of the chase won't be.

just ride the normal natural stuff. I've been to The Peak District today and not only was it open 😉 ( friends drove an hour to Llandegla only to find it closed 😆 it was a right giggle

I don't think mboy was planning on actually going.
But you may have just saved me a fruitless drive tomorrow 🙂

Hmmmm yeah, good shout!

Lots of snow forecast fairly locally tomorrow so maybe some of the local natural stuff will be a better shout...

Bredon

Not until summer! Spent 20 years of my life living on Bredon Hill, you can make pots out of the mud up there! Fun times to be had in the summer, utter misery in the winter.

Yeah but I don’t know my way round up there... Would just be the Monkey but if they’ve closed it, seems a waste of a journey.

Having just looked at the local forecast for tonight and tomorrow, I think you might be right!

I'm just going up the local hill, but probably keeping my plus wheels on from today's ride.

If by some miracle I do go out, I'll be riding right from the door. 4 - 10cm predicted even on the low ground.

The Wyre was a swamp this afternoon, normally good in the snow but it had thawed out too much 🙂

Cannock is more than just the way marked trails. Park at the Tackeroo and just just go for a wonder the other way. It was gorgeous out today.

Approx 2 inches of snow in one of the higher bits of the FOD at the moment, and still snowing.

Given I'm in Newbury, the woods behind Nationwide in Swindon probably have a couple of cm of snow now.

Gutted, I've just sold my frame and it's replacement won't be here until Monday or Tuesday. Love a snow ride if for no other reason than cleaning up the tyres to like new! Not even going to entertain the idea of a road ride today haha, it's a sit on the sofa with copious amounts of tea kind of day for me.

No snow this morning in the North East (well the bit I am in, Consett 10 miles away is probably 3 feet under) plenty of hard ground frost, think I'll be heading out for a mud free ride this morning.

I'm just back from a couple of hours around Hampstead Heath & the surrounding parish.
I forgot how hard it is to ride in snow.
My part of London has ground to a halt .ha.

Know your game sunshine! Just the regular crowd was it, or did the snow bring out more than normal? 😉

Epic fail!

I ended up getting up early and drove to the Wyre Forest. To say the drive was interesting (despite my winter tyres) was an understatement! But then I was the first vehicle along many of the roads yesterday morning.

The ride was bonkers! At least 8” in the Wyre, maybe a foot of snow in places. The whole place was covered! Will upload a pic or two later...
