Hello

Sadly my singlespeed specialized langster with disc fork was stolen...

So want to build up a singlespeed commuter bike again, only thing i really found was this Dolan frame :

https://www.dolan-bikes.com/dolan-track-bikes/track-framesets/track-frameset-carbon/dolan-seta-carbon-track-frameset.html

But any of you, know something else ?

What he said, I'd expect insurers (and the CPS) will be looking more closely at bikes in the future if you're unlucky enough to be involved in an accident after the recent verdict and publicity.

I'm going to 3D print myself some neat reflector brackets for my road bikes too. Figure I could get one on the stem faceplate and one on the saddle rails

+1, if someone at BLB is reading this can we have a disk braked SSCX version?

The Seta has a 74 degree head angle. It's fabulous on the track, but will be a little twichy on the road - watch for toeclip overlap - especially on fixed wheel. Planet X is 75 degrees, even less suitable. Medium Viper is bang on for a road bike, if it fits (54 cm top tube).

For road, I personally think that titanium is a better way to go for light and compliant. For track, I love my Seta. The front end is nice and high - definitely not a sprinting frame!

whilst this is mechanically true, I personally wouldn't for fixed gear because of the lower bb height on road bikes

fixed + low bb + corner = pedal strike

I have a precursa for commuting and it's spot on, I can't see that the cost of carbon is worth it for the sake of 400grammes and the hammer they get from locking against sheffield stands, risk of theft, etc
