We're heading north at the weekend and need somewhere to stay that's cheap and easy.

Can you camp at the trail centre at Golspie (this would be easiest)- I've done it at events but not sure if it's normally allowed?

we stayed in a caravan about 5 miles up the road. If you go into the fish&chip restaurant (Rafters?) on the main street, there are adverts on their notice board for such like.

There's a camp site in Brora.

Sleeperzzz.com at Rogart. But you knew that already ๐Ÿ˜‰

No camping at the 'trailhead' that field is full of thistles and cow-pats at the moment anyway. Pretty sure you could wild camp somewhere along the shore between Golspie and Mound, but you'd have to carry the kit a long way.

Go up Strath Halladale and camp wild somewhere up there. Amazing valley. Golden Eagles, Gold in the river, Jeremy Paxman...
