Where to buy xc/trail 27.5 tyres?

I'm looking to replace the tyres on my mk5 Soul for something similar (WTB vigilante and trail boss combo) as these are now pretty worn and battered.  I'm struggling to find much in the narrower widths for 27.5 (2.2-2.3) from the usual shops.  What is the go to online shop for tyres now?  Any recommended combos for quicker trail tyres that won't try to kill me when things turn a little wetter?  My other bikes favour grip over speed and so I am a little lost with these.

Merlin have plenty of Schwalbes in 275.

What's the max width you can fit?

I'd say tread pattern makes more difference to speed than width. So there's no harm in going 2.4-2.6 if it fits.

I still rate WTB Vigilante/Trail Boss as an all year round decent combo.

Though I'm trying a Maxxis Recon on the back  of my hardtail (replaced a trail boss) and I'm liking it.

Thanks.  Hope xc tech rims and so I can't really go much wider.

A few shops have good deals on Specialized tyres at the moment - Balfes, Leisure Lakes, and Spec themselves.
I've been eyeing up the Purgatory as a rear which can be had for £20-25.

That's the rear sorted for £13. https://www.merlincycles.com/schwalbe-rock-razor-addix-folding-tyre-275-148996.html

At that price I would probably even try at the front lol.

Don't worry about nominal width. 2.6 should be fine if enough clearance.

I have 2.8F and 2.6R Rekons and that's a brilliant combo but I'll try the Rock Razor when worn out.
