Just come back from a weekend trip to Ullswater where we rode the high street loop. I have been looking at where to book the next trip, I'm not too sure where to go so I thought I would ask on here.
We struggled a bit in Ullswater and did a lot of climbing up hills(is this normal for the route?), some of the walking could probably been avoided had we been out more this year in general. Took about 8 hours all together including a stop at Pooley Bridge.
Looking for somewhere with some climable hills with descent downs. The decent from high street to Pooley Bridge was excellent despite being quite damp.
