Lichfield. About 20m from Cannock Chase.
Very flat but visits to the Chase aside, I have a decent bridleway/cheeky trail lash up ride from the door virtually.

Hanky - My brother in law just moved to Doha, I take it there's no chance of biking over there?

Brighton, 2 minutes from the South Downs and 10 minutes ride to the SDW. Best bit is a 5 mile off road commute with lots of options up to 25 miles or so.

Ex Notts lad stranded in Essex. Not actually a bad scene once you've done some digging.

Makes riding the Peaks a real treat.....

A quick wave from the South Wales Valleys... Afan, Brechfa, Cwn Carn, not to mention lots of natural trails from my door, and quiet country roads for those darkside moments, which reminds me, I should really get out more...

Blaydon-upon-Tyne (just west of Newcastle/Gateshead). Not nearly as posh as the hyphens might lead you to believe.

Lots of good riding around here (Hexham common, Cheviots, as well as riding straight from the front door), yet strangely very few bikers encountered anywhere other than Chopwell/Thrunton/Kielder. Not that I like busy trails, I'm just surprised.

Afan Valley.

The 2.5 mile ride to the trail centre is a bit of a downer; sometimes it just seems too far and I have to use the natural singletrack that starts 500m from my front door instead.

Laukiz, a small village near Bilbao. Out of the door riding is good fun but there isnt a lot. All the best riding is in the next province which is only an hour or so away.

Cornish exile, now S Wales valleys.

Too much good riding from the front door to bother driving to Afan / Cwmcarn etc.

The kids do like a trip to Brechfa though...

Was that to me? I race for Mölndals CK, both MTB and CX, can be found with the club on Tuesday nights doing intervals in Änngården.
