I live in North Leeds and often see a fella on a singlespeed Independent Fabrications bike and think 'he must be on STW'.
How many of us live around the corner and don't know it?
Liverpool, and damn proud of it (crap for MTBing though...)
I live in one of the absolute worst (if it's not THE worst, certainly would be top 5) places in the UK to be a mountain biker.
Vague plans finally afoot to remedy that in the next 18 months though.
slainte 😆 rob
North Yorkshire not to far from thirsk.
Was the Independent a navy deluxe with v-brakes by any chance?
Blue rings a bell Shep, it was always around the junction of Harrogate Road and Gledhow Valley Road; I think I saw the same guy at Kielder 100 2010
Lichfield, Practically the alps of midlands.
could have been a guy called John who rides with my old man, (he rides a orange and black gary fisher) not a member on here.
They both live in Alwoodley don't know about kielder but they ride round there a lot.
Penistone way, south yorks, although mainly ride road until the new clown bike arrives...
Farnborough Village, Kent.
Not too sad for mountain biking, but not a lot of mountains!

High Green, Sheffield
Ex Dorset, now Hackney - not as bad for riding as you may think but it helps to leave home early to avoid traffic and then make a day of it. Surrey Hill, Thetford for racing, Chilterns, Swinley for racing, Beastway races in summer. Plus weekdays I can ride to work and not get involved in the nightmare that is driving or trains and tubes to work so a 90 min drive at weekend is worth it generally.
Near Skipton
