for the gravel bike?

Bought one specially the right size, now I've come to fit the dropper and can't find it anywhere. It's got a cable with it too, although I've got other cables.

Probably dropped it. That's what it's for, after all.

Ah yes. Is the milk balanced on your handlebars?

Dead giveaway that.

Found it!
In the garage on the shelf underneath the kites. Wife has been away kitesurfing, shelf was empty, I obviously chucked it on there for later. Shelf now covered in kites holding the dropper.

All fitted although the post is quite slow to return, which makes my eBay bargain less of a bargain 😞

Under or in the fridge.

Someone at work turned up late halfway through their shift because they couldn’t find their work pass, finally found in the bread bin.

As someone who (cumulatively) has likely spent days searching for glasses they're currently wearing, which is how they can see well enough to look for them, I'm unsurprised by this.

I’m at that age now where I stride purposefully into the kitchen, open the fridge, then think ‘what on earth did I come in here for?’

I am convinced though that there is a time portal when I work on my bike which opens up when I put something down, transports that something into another dimension, then returns it to exactly the same place a week later

I found one on Biketart yesterday, for £24... thought that's reasonable (cos normally dropper leavers are NOT!) and stuck it in my virtual basket... Thought, I wonder if I need anything else... browsed the site a bit. Went back... basket £42! Bastards! So I dunno where the £24 one went!

Yeah, dropper levers are somehow obscenely expensive for something that previously came included.

They seem to be more 3xoensive and lesswell sealedor ergonomic than a left hand shifter, 9n a flat bar at least.

I've had some success with removing the ratchet from shifters in the past.

Check you haven't overtightened the seatpost clamp as that can slow the return speed.

Unfortunately not, just as slow with it off the bike.

If you just want a standard Brand X one I’ve got a spare one in the drawer now, my other bikes have been replaced with massively overpriced nice ones.
