I need to fix some new rotors to my 6-bolt XT hubs and am informed that I should be applying threadlock to the securing bolts.

But...I can't find anywhere to buy it from. B&Q had none.

Any suggestions?

Hi
I just got some yesterday from Halfords.
Most motor factors should have some too
Cheers

Your local bearing supplier will have it. Surprising how many bearing shops there are about.

Loctite 241 suitable for disc rotor bolts.

I think those two are similar, just a different method of application...?

241 Liquid, 248 comes as a stick, like wax. Just checked data sheets.

Both suitable for removal by hand tools, which is definetley what you want.

Yeah I've used the stick for a few years & it's nicely non-messy.

248 is the solid grade thread locker lipstick stuff- not actually manufactured by Loctite but relabelled for them.

243 if you want liquid stuff. Halfords do both IIRC or bigger quantities from bearing suppliers as already stated.
