To make slug traps for the allotment?
Im dammed if they are getting a free meal and dying happy on the good stuff!

Tesco sell some sort of Czech beer for £1 a bottle, too good for slugs though, it's not bad stuff.

Try your local pub - i'm sure they'll donate the contents of the buckets they use to pull through beer once they've changed a barrel.
