Only 14 year ****s ride 'shore'

If it's something more Canadian you're after, Canada is probably a good bet...

yeah i rode kona dark side it was good to increase the bike skills.
I just wondered if there was anything around to use the Alps bike when not in the Alps... And add an extra bit of variety to the north west. I regularly ride Winter Hill, North Wales, Peaks, but just thought i'd ask the question.

Nice positive input there, but not totally unexpected.

In answer to the question, not that I am aware of. I've ridden in Vancouver and surrounding areas quite a bit and it would be difficult to replicate what they have there here. However if you look around, there are little gems just waiting to be found...

What a complete t**t. The trouble with shore in this country is that the forest owners don't like it as they think they will get sued if someone hurts themselves.

Check out Stainburn. In fact, the Boulder trail there is probably the most Canadian-esque trail I have ever ridden in the UK.

Stainburn has some low level log rides to play on (red route next to the berms) and a small area of wooden construction with a big seesaw (Warren boulder trail), this guy makes it look very easy

Kielder has a small amount. Some on the deadwater trail, and a wee bit down near the car park, but not much and in all honesty, not that hard either. So just mentioning out of completeness.

Cheers for that Rorshach. That's about 20 minutes from where I work. Might have a ride out and check it over.

Little bit at Gisburn, loads of boardwalk and some log rides up to 4ft off the ground.

There's some log rides and big log drops @ Farmer John's, a private DH course just outside stockport
