Finally, after three months of avoiding travelling to ride, on Monday we headed out to hit the gnar once again! Here’s what our first ride back looked like as we tried to remember how to do it!

Back to The Gnar!

Great isn't it 😁

I went back to Swinley for the first time in a long while, oddly I seem to be faster than I was downhill, I seem to have forgotten the fear after almost a year off from MTBing!

Fitness on the other hand....... Took me 1h40 to do a lap, getting back to 1h10 is going to be a painful effort!

Also - that almost makes Dalby look worth re-visiting? Is it accessible or are the off-piste bits well hidden?

That is very good. Especially the Doblo Handbrake bit. I have been adjusting mine today and needed a reference point, and Bingo!

Great video. I really miss looning about with others on bikes. It's just not the same doing laps again and again on your jack.

Cheers guys. Yeh, so good to be back chasing mates through the dust...in March!

Haha, glad to be of assistance TroutWrestler!

RocketDog, the song is Weekenders by En Garde. The song was featured on a biking/mental health video on here a little while ago and I loved it. They’re on Spotify.

Excellent video, rings true with me, I managed to get over to the Peak District on Monday for my first proper MTB ride in around 20 months.

Even convoying over (no car sharing for obvious reasons!) was good fun.

And, pizza for trail snacks! Yes, definitely going to be rolling that one out in the future

You don't?!?

That was a lot of rain from clear skies in the intro 😉

I know. Very strange micro-climates round these parts! It definitely wasn’t my wife stood out of shot with the hosepipe, getting funny looks from the neighbours!

Cheers, listened to the album in the shed yesterday while swapping winter for summer tyres. Perfect for vigorous pumping to set up tubeless!

It’s a great album, isn’t it? I don’t know anything else about them but they deserve more monthly listeners than they currently have.

Great video and loved the tune too

I live in NZ so we haven't had the lock down issues you guys have had. Must feel pretty good to be able to get out and about again
