Just went to fit a new XT HT2 bottom bracket onto the bike. The trusty HT2 tool is massively oversized, when did they suddenly decide to slim the bb cups down?
Still, can never have too many tools eh? 🙂

was there no adapter with the bb - they normally sell them with it

There's an adapter to fit between your existing HT2 spanner and the XT sized BB.

Wasn't included with my bubble wrapped CRC version. To be fair they said it didn't include the TL-FC25 tool, but I just thought that was the standard fitting tool.

Up in the sexy North - probably pop into the LBS on the way home - looks likes its a 3 quid adaptor so won't break the bank and I'lll no doubt need it again in a hurry at some point.
