Need to replace the wheels on my genesis day one - what is out there?

Define cheap. Charley the bike monger had a good deal on some 29er single speed wheels. Still about £250 though.

Disk or rim brake?
If rim, would you be interested in some second hand Surly Ultra New hubs with Mavic Open Sport rims, (one of which would be new) built and sent for £120
Edit- if disk, and for that price I'd probably go for basic pre-built Mavics or Fulcrums and a conversion kit.Merlin usually have some good deals.

I'm using my mtb wheels, with spacers for the freehub body, so plenty of 29er wheels out there.
