Stopped selling Mavic wheelsets, now no Hope Hoops! What is he selling then??

http://www.wheelpro.co.uk/

I was keeping an eye out on when Rodger was getting more Hope hoops in as the pair I bought a year ago were / are great (Hope / Stans Flow). Guess I'll have to go elsewhere now ๐Ÿ™

As he's selling loads of spokes as well, I'd say he's having nothing more to do with wheels.

I suppose online prices have been coming down for Hoops, lack of supply & customers wanting a price match I wonder if it became more of a pain in the arse than a worthwhile product.

Wonder what might replace them??!

I have been thinking if offering a tune type of service on hope hoops like what roger offered, though it depends if people would want to pay for such a service?

They're not too bad out of the factory though. Would most people notice a difference? I only tweaked mine because I'm sad like that.

Just to add, it would include wheel tension and check, stans yellow tape fitted with valves and a competitive price on the wheels to start with.

si - I'm only pondering at the moment, but what would the rough 'deal price' be for Pro3 xc6's/Crest rims...

mail me if you prefer.

might have to get some spokes while they are cheap

anyone know what size I'll need for hope pro II hubs on spank stiffy rims?

New wheels shouldn't need a tune!

IIRC, I think Roger said that they were too tight from the factory and exceded the tension limits for Stans rims.

I think they do, but I also find that if you stick to the 100 kgf that Stan's suggest then it's difficult to keep a wheel true with a larger rider on board. I think the suggested tension limit is a little conservative.

tune was perhaps the wrong word, more a once over and check tensions etc.

'some' of the Hope wheels i have had through have had to be re tensioned, though i dont think its an issue overall as the majority have been very good. if people want it then fine, if they dont feel the need then fine too ๐Ÿ™‚
