A pair of crossrides costs 140£ ish and weight 1850 g.
A pair of xt's costs around 500£ and weight... The same more or less.

What am i getting for the ekstra 350 i Would be paying for the xt's, if the crossride review says it's tough and reliable?

I could buy an iridium workstand for that. Or a too tight radioshack Jersey signed by Jens voigt.

I had a pair of crossrides which I managed to total in less than 2 years and I am certainly not an aggressive rider.I have xt hubbed wheels on my other bike which have laste six years with small amounts of maintenance. I know these aren't factory XT wheels but the hubs are the same. On my other bike I have Shimano MT65s which I think are SLX spec and are excellent and only £149 from Merlin. Q/r only though.

As oppose to riding tubeless. I like rubber tubes better than whatever the tubeless tires i have ridden were made of. UST and tubeless are the same or am i messing something?? Anyway I probably should say that i am on a budget. It's cheap and strong im after.

Ok, thanks FOG. My bike comes with 142x12 mm so slx out of question. I'll continue looking for that magic combo that fits my wallet. Crossrides def not an option.
