Curious to see what people think is good.
So as per title...what's your most used top, over your base layer?
Cheers....
A £4.99 short sleeve checked shirt from asda.
Berghaus tech tee. Good fit, colours and much much cheaper than poorer quality bike jersies.
An Addidas long sleeved runners top made from 'climacool' that I got in TKMaxx about 10 years ago. Probably a base layer really.
It fits me perfectly
The sleeves will pull past the elbow and stay there without digging in.
The collar is big enough that it works but it does not irritate.
It is perfect on its own on all but the hottest and coldest days.
It dries really quickly.....I sweat a lot!
I think I paid £20 for it.
I will be gutted when it dies.
One industries 3/4 sleeve thing from the CRC sale last year for £12.
Great fit, cool, dries quick, perfect as a single layer for a lot of the year.
Gone a bit Enduro but I still use this for big rides!

Spesh short sleeved baggy mtb top. Most comfortable shirt ever still good as new after 7 years
The old faithful. I've got an old n holey dhb merino 1/4 zip top that gets worn for about 3/4s of the year.
I'd not really found a nice summer top until recently when I brought a Club Ride shirt which is fast becoming my favourite thing to wear. It's actually makes me 17% more awesome when shredding (maybe)
Specialized Enduro Comp is my favourite. They keep changing the colours though.
Long sleeve would be Endura MT500, 4 maybe 5 yrs old.
Short sleeve probably my bright blue Planet X that I got when they had a load that were potentially soiled so sold them all at £10.
Plain black merino baselayer from Chocolate Fish.
An ancient Royal Racing one, can't remember where/if I bought it! Full zip, decent, but unobtrusive rear pocket and nicely muted colours.
18 year old Mint sauce jersey , best fitting/well made jersey ever .
A Ground Effect Rock Lobster top that refuses to wear out: looks a bit faded though.
An old Gore Phantom, the one using N2S.
Well battered, lots of abrasion and small tears, and I keep thinking about throwing it out, but haven't seen anything anywhere near as versatile. Good for all but the hottest and coldest days. Bought one of the newer ones, never wear it. Horrible thing.
Criminal that Gore stopped making the N2S jobs.
buffalo techlite in winter. 15 year old castelli in summer
MY Bike Windstopper Jersey that i got from Decathlon, at least twelve years ago! The arms come off, but the zip bust on the arms, so it's used as short sleeved, it's more roadie, but it is excellent in anything but warm conditions!
I will cry when the zip breaks, the fabric appears unbreakable!!!
I use the left over fabric from the arms to keep my feet warm on winter rides!!
"Italy"series moto tops from Engelbert Strauss workwear catalogue 🙂

any one of the 20 or so in the box, they all cover my nipples and belly. Some are better in summer or winter.
An old polartec work top from when I worked at Kathmandu the outdoor clothing place
Older Decathlon tops.
Only layer in summer, base layer in winter.
Rear stuff pockets and huge zipped side pockets big enough to take a waterproof on luggage free road rides.
The newer ones are still good, but don't have the huge side pockets.
