What's the cheapest way you have upgraded your bike to Di2?
Ive had 10 & 11 speed Dura ace di2, 10 & 11 speed Ultegra di2 all which were not cheap to buy although prices seem to have shot up lately
I decided i want to upgrade my current work bike to Di2 (had various Di2 work bikes in the past and miss them)
Difference this time is i want to do it as cheaply as possible
So far i have the following
6870 Di2 rear mech £5 yes £5! (Facebook market place bargain, the whole cage assembly was missing and i had a spare!)
6870 Di2 front mech, Free!!! (was given to me in a trade for fitting and fixing someone's Di2 groupset)
6870 Di2 Shifters £55 ebay bargain, few minor scuffs
So that's £60 spent so far but i need the following
Junction box A and junction box B
Internal battery
6 Di2 wires
Would love to get everything for £100 but that isn't really going to happen, going to aim for getting the battery, junction boxes and wiring for £90 and try and come in at £150
Just built up a frame with ultegra Di2. Decent condition 6770 shifters with new hoods, r8050 front and rear mech and the rest of the components ended up being new through judicious use of discount codes. Battery, chargers, and wires seemed to attract a premium and are very hard to get new.
Back when thigs were cheap I got a full alfine 11 Di2 setup with R785 shifters, battery, charger, hub, motor cables, etc for £285.
I also got some road rashed Dura ace 9170 shifters for £170 which have since been repaired.
I bought a 1x10 TT Ultegra DA set up (10-speed RD, twin extension shifters, junction boxes, cables, battery and bottle mounting) for £200 and needed one extra cable and a battery charger. It's on the tricycle and is absolutely brilliant. Electric shifting on TT is just wonderful. Have it on the two wheeled TT version too (eTAP and 6x the price)
