So, i'm looking at getting a new middle chainring. A quick search on here seems to recommend a steel Shimano ring, so looking on chain reaction, there are two possible options:

Same price, same no. of teeth, so what's the difference? And which one to go on an LX HTII chainset?

Sorry, just realised. Option 1 is steel, option 2 is aluminium.
