Currently have a BFe with the longshot geometry. I'd like a generation 5 Soul but of course they are no more.
So what steel Soul ish geometry ,650b , travel 120 - 140 range frame suggestions ?
Thanks

Isn't the Morph the only steel frame in your suggestions ?

Ribble do a 27.5 HT in steel. Ragley do the Piglet also, Stanton have the Slackline which is very Soul like.

Ragley Piglet maybe?

Pipedream Sirius can do 27.5 in 2.8 tyre guise, but it might work OK with smaller tyres.

Is the Bfe not basically a Soul but, well, beefier? Stif Morf is fantastic and the only bike I’ve ever really regretted selling. Just such a fun thing.

Exactly looking for something not quite as beefy as the BFe

The Pipedream Sirius S5 can apparently take 27 or 29in wheels. Dunno how that works - but it seems a lighter, shorter travel HT like the Soul.

I'd just wait for a secondhand Soul to pop up though.

My Stanton Sherpa (yes 29er) is leaps and bounds better than my (3rd gen?) Soul it replaced. If you really want 650b then yes the Slackline.

Back in the day it was, but the longshot Soul and current 27.5 BFe geometry is fairly different IMO, even leaving aside the extra beefiness of the latter 🙂

Went from a 26 soul to a gen 3 slackline. Absolutely love the slackline, it's a total keeper.

Just so much fun for you know just riding about.

Surely only a matter of time before the Soul has a return. I've put a wanted ad on the classifieds and the only responses have been people wanting to buy my old one.

If I was going to replace it without a Soul, it'd be a Curtis AM7.

But I'm not...
