For a long, winter ride in the fells?
For riding, its generally bib-tights, base layer and either eVent waterproof or Gore Phantom softshell, sealskin socks and waterproof thermal gloves - in the bag there is a dry sac with spare gloves, socks and thermal cycling shirt.
Standing round waiting for mechanical and eating lunch I get freezing and contemplating sticking some sort of primaloft jacket in there but at that rate it wont be long before I need a 25l day sac
So what do you do?
Blimey..the only thing clothes wise I have at the moment are my fingerless gloves in case the ones I ware get to hot. Usually only out for 2-3 hrs at the moment though so if my socks get drenched it can wait.
Spare buff and dry gloves in a ziploc bag so I know they're gonna be dry if I need them
Disposable gloves, plus anything I take of during the ride.
