Pedal dropped off, luckily only a mile from home. Can’t see what has failed. Anyone care to guess and say if it’s fixable?

Bearing / bush failure leads to the pedal rotating against the nut, which undoes it.
Ooh, are Crank Bros pedals still doing that? How quaint.
