Hi there,

pretty much as title. I have Shimano SLX brakes and was thinking of upgrading my rotors as my old ones are quite worn down. They shouldn't be too pricey or too cheap. I was looking at the Avid HS1. Anyone got any experience with them?

Cheers, Henni

Shimano RT76 for 6 bolt best I've had. Worst were Hope floaters that warped when in contact with air

They all work the same.

How worn are yours?

Ive got shimano ice tech, I really like them. I've got 203 front and the black centre makes it look smaller, less like a dinner plate. Very light and work great.

They're actually not that extremely worn. I just want to build up my old bike and need the parts that are on my current bike and thought I could just upgrade.

I thought all rotors worked the same, until I tried the new shimano Ice tech rotors which replaced standard XT rotors. They do work very, very well.

I know but I'm in Germany and that makes it really expensive with all the exchange rate and stuff....

Shimano XT any good?

If you can replace then just the front and do the rear later.

Shimano RT rotors or Hope Mono rotors have been the best for me, Also superstar wavey rotors have been pretty good.
