Cleaning car, bike and a load a wet kit after doing Penmachno 1 and 2 and a bit of the Marin yesterday in monsoon conditions despite the forecast giving sunny and dry.
Just back from doing the Purple at Mabie, was an ideal ride for the first one in a long time just to legs and lungs working again over it's 14 or so miles, a few spots of rain but nothing big, but now of course the sun has just come out, might pop over to Ae tomorrow and check out the work that's been done there.
I was going to go Woburn but really couldn't be arsed with it. So just a short local road ride for me today. Same again tomorrow.
My wife is working so I am left in charge of our three freerange children
Just got back from watching my team mates competing in the northwest bjj open.

Out riding ๐
Totally underestimated the weather though. Summer shoes, socks, shorts, base layer, longsleeve jersey and full length lighweight gloves; bloody froze when the rain came down and the wind picked up. Schoolboy error ๐
23 mile mainly off road mtb round Lake Coniston with a nice coffee and cake at the Bluebird cafe mid ride,90% dry which was a huge bonus after yesterday.

Out of the Surrey Hills this afternoon. Muddy but great fun ๐
Lost my front mudguard between Leith Hill and bottom of Wolverns ๐ ...if anyone saw it/picked it up, please let me know.
Bushwacked, I am so buzzing from that coaching session. I will write the blog later as I need a beer to calm down
35 miles with anotherstan on the trails of Newmillerdam, Haw park woods, wintersett etc etc. started mild but got a bit cooler windier and wetter. Excellent ride.
Been at Lockheed Martin in Philadelphia all week, now in NYC eating my way through a huge amount of restaurants before flying back to Beijing on Monday.
Oh, did a 7 mile run through Central Park today
Amazing session Jedi! Blown away seeing James (and his 5% vision) steaming down the trail on his own and also nailing that large drop so smoothly!!! He was buzzing hard from it in the car on the way back ๐
james was suprised when he spoke to me on the phone before hand that i didnt mind about his disability. he was so happy ๐
Children all day till 8pm.... oh god help me!
Today I am doing nothing apart from tinkering with the car and watching football.
Going to go to the local trails and try and grow the balls to do the tiny drop my son could probably do on his balance bike.
In your head you are thinking in feet. Think smaller
Where's the drop dancake?
For "Drop" read "Slightly elevated step onto a not-very-steep downslope"
Its part of the Run in Standish woods (haresfield) that starts at the unmarked Longbarrow and goes down to the gravel road. The log drop is right near the bottom and I always go around it* I always go up to Haresfield if I have the dogs in tow and not much time..
There are a couple at the top quarry too ranging from the same to bigger stuff (3 or 4 footers)
*NB I used to go over this, but cant bring myself to do it since going OTB and grazing my Knee - it wasnt even there- it was in Nibley I did it )
**Bent my bars too- how did that happen?
***Went up there yesterday btw. Didnt do it
