suggestions and links please ?
Not Sigma. that's my only advice really. Counting aloud to yourself would be more reliable
Cateye Strada, best i've used, and i've used a few!
Cateye Strada (I have 3 😯 )
has anyone used one of the knog n.e.r.d.s? those look very nice
Cateye Micro Wireless.
the new Strada double wireless is truly ace
already linked but another vote for the cateye micro wireless
Another +1 for Cateye Micro Wireless.
another vote for the cateye strada
mainly because it's nice and small
garmin 205
just got the 2009 cateye strada from wiggle for £30 with voucher. Arrived next day, fitted realky easily, looks great, small, reasuringly solid. A nice touch is that you just click tbe bottom of the computer to cycle through functions. Big display on a v small and light bit of kit.
Aldi £12.99 with heart rate monitor.
is there a back light on the strada and can you read it at night?
Another + 1 for Cateye Micro Cordless proved very reliable over 4 or so years. Never used the Sigma ones but as above a few friends found them pretty unreliable
nope, no backlight
Sigma...
most reliable brand I've sold in over 20 years. I have always had a Cateye returns bin. Never had a Sigma returns bin. I've only 2 returned wireless units in 3 years.
We now sell only sigma.

The Micro Wireless is a bit bulky compared to the Strada and the Strada starts to rattle on the mount after a few thousand miles apart form that I haven't had any problems with either (4 Strada's, 2 Micro Wireless).
Try the NIteRider models for backlight action. They have big buttons too for gloved hands.
