Okay, got the frame, got some Hope XC hubs I was thinking of getting dom Mavic TN719 rims built on, aiming for wide road or 29er versatile tyres in the long run. Any thoughts or better suggestions?
Any other suggestions for the perfect (money is an object) Fargo build?
(I think I want road STIs, MTB/trekking crankset, mtb gearing)
Evening bump?

I used Mavic TN719 rims with an evo2 front hub so if I put suspension forks on I could use a bolt through.
Have been great so far, I've used CX tyres for touring and the rims do a good job of a 2.4 on the front for dicking about the woods!
For what I like about the cycling that I want to do I used Jeff Jones loop bars.
Lots of hand positions (wrapped in roubaix tape) lots of places to strap me tent and stuff and I get to use proper brakes and gears.
This is now my only ride.
Dt tk540 disc rims on xt hubs on mine, 9 speed XT transmission, slx chainset, dura ace bar end shifters, tektro levers to avid bb7 cable discs. Tyres 2.1 maxis crossmarks, liked the look of schwalbe smart sams in 1.75 but they're pricey.
I used Halo Freedom 29er rims, Pro 2 hubs, i had already.
complete build cost around £850 having the wheels and some unused donar parts (see below)
3 x 9 MTB gearing though now swapped the 32 for a 36 Deore (£12 CRC)
Deore MTB crankset 22.32.44t (£57)
Sora ft mech (£7 CRC)
Deore rear mech (donar) but cheap
Sora 9spd STI shifters (£95 Ribble Cycles)
Salsa Lap Bar 46cm wide, only £30 as 1" stem off a Surly 😉
Halo Twin Rail tyres
BB7 road - £104 from some ebay shop.
Headset.seat post,stem,rear mech, 12-34 rear cassette all unused/donar off a Surly fatbike
Had an as new Brooks i got for lending a bike for a highland weekend bivvy trip 😉
Then blew the budget on Brooks leather bar tape
Posted already on here but love this bike 🙂
