I need recommendations for wheelsets for my cx/gravel/trail bike.
specs are; 700c x 19-22mm rim
sealed bearings
32 spokes
convirtable axles (ie 100x9 QR, 15mm thru axle etc)
sram XD swappale driver.
clincher
not a weight weenie.
£300 - £400
I was set on AMclassic TCX but you cant get an xd driver for 'terrain' hubs? correct me if im wrong.
Novatec hubs look suitable but havent found a whole wheel set thats right.
Would love a list of wheels to consider.
disc or rim?
Recommend what you have. I put a set of Hunt 4Season Dura Discs on my bike at the weekend and really like them. Not sure if they meet all your specs or not but there's loads of info on their website.
sorry, Disc. could go either 6 bolt or center lock.
I'm looking at the Hunt 4 seasons ATM. only 28 spokes and a rider weight limit. so perhaps a bit fragile.
H Plus Son Hydra on Hope Pro4 (or Pro2EVO) with Sapim Race spokes and brass nips.
Tough rims. Hope hubs are very easily changed in terms of axles and freehubs, and fully rebuildable. Might blow the budget slightly though...
